A Shinobi's Test [Open; No Killing] Empty
PostSubject: A Shinobi's Test [Open; No Killing]   A Shinobi's Test [Open; No Killing] EmptyWed Apr 29, 2009 2:29 pm

It had been a mere hour since the sun had risen over the trees, mountains, rivers, towns and villages of Konoha. Even before this, however, Yuki had begun her journey, crossing the expansive Fire Country in a couple of hours in order to reach her destination. The Arena was a grand location. An enormous circular sparring ground with dusty earth and a scattering of a few trees, it was the epitome of shinobi arenas. There was even a small, man-made stream running around the edge of the ground, providing a water source for Suiton users. Then there was the stalls. Towering high over the battleground, thousands upon thousands of spectator seats were ready for any official events that brought the crowds in. Standing at the edge of one of the talls arena walls was a slender figure.

She, for it was a woman, hopped down and landed deftly on the ground. Walking over the the nearest tree, of which there were only a few, she leaned casually against it. The woman was dressed in a pale blue outfit that reached just above her knees. She had a white undergarment on, which could just be seen where the blue dress-like garment split into two 'tails' just after passing her waist. Speaking of which, a pale pink sash was tied around her waist, too. Her silvery, white-blue hair was less radiant under the shadow of the tree, but still startling enough to be seen from a good distance. It had been a fleeting thought, a passing fancy that had brought the woman here. Though she had planned to pass it, she hadn't decided to see if someone was there too until the last moment. She would wait, not for too long, for an opponent.

Tsuchi looked down at the woman from the crowd,he smiled and said to himself,"Prey,"Tsuchi jumped down and confronted the women."Would you like a fight?" Tsuchi asked in a casual voice. Tsuchi undid his akatsuki cloak untill it was showing his under garmets. Tsuchi sat down waiting for the women to answer, his cloak billowing in the wind showing the red cloud of the akatsuki and his hair was whirled by the wind aswell.
Tsuchi looked at his suroundings. "Well I can use both doton and suiton here." Tsuchi looked at the many people at the arena. "I guess I can't kill her here, I'll have to find a way to drag the fight elswere." Tsuchi stode up and took out a small close range katana and jumped back about four feet.
Tsuchi reached for his head band and put it on. "I shall fight," he said,"with honer for our village." then he raised his hand and touched his head band,"That and you won't be able to put a scratch on it." Tsuchi laughed.
The dust from the ground got in Tsuchi's eyes and he was blinded for the moment. Tsuchi did this on purpose so he could get his opponent with her gaurd down. Tsuchi waited with his katana in his hand for his opponent to get closer do he could use it.

Well, he's not lacking in confidence. Yuki thought as she turned to face her opponent. He could definitely do with catching some sun, though. Bad luck, mister. The thought crossed her mind as she looked up at the cloudy, sunless sky. It was, despite the lack of sunshine, quite a pleasant day.

The man had drawn a katana and was clearly waiting for Yuki to make the first move. If it's close combat he wants...who I am to deny him? She smirked, drawing a pair of chakra knives. She slotted her fingers through the holes in the handles and gripped the two weapons. Without warning, she darted toward Tsuchi. "We never got around to introductions. I'm Yuki - you are? The kunoichi callyelled aloud as she stepped in to strike at Tsuchi. As she spoke, her blades began to glow with a fine, blue aura. It lengthened six inches beyound the blades' tips, forming a larger, sharper extension to the blade. Of course, this chakra was entirely invisible to all except Yuki - that was just the manner of the technique.

Tsuchi looked at the woman,"So..Yuki is it,I'm Tsuchi..Tsuchi Senju of the akatsuki."Tsuchi formed a few quick hand sings and said,"Daijurin no Jutsu - Great Forest Technique!" Tsuchi's arm turned into wood spikes twords his new opponent Yuki.
Tsuchi's spikes, headed right for Yuki, branched off into 67 branches and all going in on different angles.Tsuchi smirked and said,"Well lets see you dodge this Yuki."Tsuchi laughed.
Tsuchi dropped his katana and opened his kunia pouch with his other hand, atached paper bombs to them, and through them at Yuki.Tsuchi smirked once more as the sun came out from under a cloud.
Tsuchi took of his akatsuki cloak and set it on the ground, not because he was warm but because the outfit didn't seem to fighty.Tsuchi watched as Yuki can closer and closer to his spikes and paper bombed kunia.Tsuchi said to his opponent,"Have fun." Then he laughed

Digging her feet hard into the ground, Yuki came to an abrupt halt. Tsuchi's arm had transformed and a mass of wooden stakes were now closing in on the kunoichi. Her enhanced blades still glowing with the aura visible to her and only her, Yuki managed a single backwards hop before the stakes were upon her. She sliced at the first few, cutting straight through. In between slices, the kunoichi noticed a small cluster of kunai - with exploding tags attached - following the wood-based attack.

Realizing there were still too many for her to fend off, she sliced a couple more before jumping on top of one of the stakes. As it moved beneath her, she balanced herself and tensed her leg muscles. The tagged kunai buried themselves in the ground just below her and fizzled momentarily. With a great push, she leaped into the air, up and away from the next wave of wooden stakes. The explosion, however, caught up with her. She raised her hands to her face as felt the heat and light of the detonation. Her distance from the ground kept her from serious injury though, and she was soon uncovering her eyes to deal with the imminent attack from the stakes.

A secondary element...? This could be interesting. She looked down at the ground far below and saw the wooden stakes making their way rapidly up to meet Yuki in the air. He's certainly persistent... She thought to herself as she made a short string of hand seals. Mere seconds after she had finished the seals, the first stake reached her. She flexed her body so that it skimmed past her leg. The second, third and fourth stakes were next. She flashed a grin as they too, pinned her down in midair. "Hyouton • Hyouchikei no Sousaku." She spoke softly and placed her hands of the stakes either side of her torso. They immediately stopped moving, the rest slowing to a halt before they reached the kunoichi.

A pale blue substance was spreading rapidly from Yuki's palms, enveloping and constricting the wood. It wasn't long before two-thirds of the wood bridging the distance between the airborne Yuki and her opponent was covered in thick ice. Using her still enhanced chakra blades, the kunoichi sliced at the frozen wood, freeing herself from the prison they had momentarily created. She hopped up onto the stiff wooden stakes and began to slide down the ice, straight toward Tsuchi. Immediately she drew three kunai of her own, also with exploding tags attached to their handles. She threw them, one a few metres behind Tsuchi, the others a few metres to his left and right.

Halfway down the wood and ice 'bridge' and still picking up speed, Yuki held her blades up before her, their chakra pulsating and still extended six inches from the metal of the knives, a chakra invisible to her opponent. She would be on him in a matter of moments.
